Now remember, before we get started, I am naming the 10 male leading roles of 2011 that I think were sexiest. I am NOT naming the movies that I thought were best of 2011.

10. Robert Pattinson as Jacob in Water for Elephants

It was refreshing to see him in a lead role other than Twilight. The movie was excellent. The only small gripe I might have is that even though it technically had a HEA, it was set in the past and told by an aged Pattinson. So you get my drift where I’m heading with this. While I enjoyed his role immensely in Remember Me, which had an even less appealing ending, I feel Water for Elephants let him shine and proved that he is decent at acting. Not to mention he looks good while doing it.
9. Harrison Ford as Woodrow Dolarhyde in Cowboys & Aliens

Ok. Ok. I know. I know. It seems everyone I’ve talked to that has seen this movie either loved it or loathed it. I myself? Dug the hell out of it. It was one of those movies that was right up my alley. I mean come on. What more could you ask for? Cowboys and aliens in one movie. Ka-ching. And yeah, Harrison Ford may be getting a little long in the tooth, and may have had some competition with the Daniel Craig groupies (I not being one of them—sorry, but I can’t lie), I personally think Mr. Ford still has swagger. Of course, it’s hard for me to see him as anything other than sexy. Indiana Jones ruined me a long time ago.
8. Colin Farrell as Jerry Danridge in Fright Night

First off, and sorry for all of you who love Colin Farrell, I have never been a big Colin fan. I can’t explain it any more than I can explain the sky being blue, but he is simply not my type. That said, being a fan of the original Fright Night (it’s really hard to follow up Christopher Sarandon), and yes, most people who did not grow up on B movies will think the original an abomination right along with the remake, Colin did something for me. He pulled off perfectly that unblemished mixture of terrifying vampire with just the right amount of sexiness that made me want to try to tame him just enough to survive a hot encounter with him. The movie was disappointing in the way that it veered off from the original storyline. If you have a good thing to begin with, why change it?
7. Taylor Lautner as Nathan in Abduction

I’m not one to usually go for the youngsters. I have always tended to like older men, but dayam. I’m not blind either, and when I see a good thing, I applaud it. Taylor gets a standing ovation for a great job playing a kick-ass teen who can rip anyone a new one that messes with him, and a fierce protector of the one he loves. I see a bright future for this young man that doesn’t entail being a hairy wolf (although, I hope he remains shirtless for as long as possible in every role he plays).
6. Liam Neeson as Dr. Martin Harris in Unknown

Here’s another oldie-but-goodie that proves younger does not always mean hotter. Even though Liam has been around for awhile, I confess I didn’t take much notice of him until I saw him in Taken a few years ago. After that, I was hooked. I liked him just as much in Unknown, and find him sexy as hell after realizing his ability to kick some serious ass. Are we seeing a pattern here? Yes. I like bad-ass, boys who will rip a new one in a second for the ones they care about. But not only is he bad-ass, he’s got that quiet intensity about him that makes me quiver. Bonus in Unknown: Aidan Quinn. Need I say more?
5. Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Is it surprising? I mean who could possibly find Johnny Depp, and his portrayal of Jack Sparrow less than entertaining. I’ve always had trouble finding pirates appealing since my mind constantly reminds me that they were smelly, dirty, and most likely disease ridden. Yet when I see Johnny playing a pirate, I’m sure I wouldn’t care if he hadn’t bathed for two months. I would happily and willingly wallow in his stink any day. What it boils down to? PILF (you know what MILF is right? Substitute mom with pirate and there you have it).
4. Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

I have always loved RDJ. He is another one of those bad boy types. Yep here we go again. He’s not only sexy, but smart as hell. A gorgeous guy with a brain. Holy hell. His brilliant portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is captivating and amusing. I absolutely loved this movie. It was entertaining and witty. I would so love to meet him, hang with him for a day. I have no doubt he’s as brilliant in real life as he is on the big screen. Oh, and by the way (and yes, I know this is a reference to the first Sherlock Holmes), if I ever come across RDJ handcuffed to a bed, things would turn out very differently than in the movie.
3. Henry Cavill as Theseus in Immortals

I discovered this little jewel for the first time watching The Tudors. Which, by the way, was absolutely awesome! For my birthday, I asked my dear hubby to take me to see Immortals. And yes, he knew my ulterior motive which was to see a half-naked Henry for nearly two hours straight. While the movie may not have been as wonderful as I had hoped (but not bad), I couldn’t have cared less. My God this is a gorgeous man, one of the most gorgeous to come along in a good while in my opinion. I cannot wait to see him play Superman. I’ve never been more excited in my life at the prospect of seeing a man in tights.
2. Chris Hemsworth as Thor in Thor

I’m not really sure I need to say anything about Chris. I didn’t even know who Chris Hemsworth was until I saw Thor, and now I want to see a whole lot more of him. I enjoyed the movie immensely, and the views were spectacular throughout (yes, I am referring to the exemplary manflesh of Chris). The world would be hard pressed to find a more perfect specimen of man, and I’m not really into blonds. Oh, did I mention. I just now realized he had blond hair : )
1. Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton in Real Steel

Hugh Jackman. *sigh* While I’d seen lots of movies with Hugh Jackman, I never really took notice of him until I saw Van Helsing (which again, critics were rather harsh about, but I absolutely loved it). Ever since then, I’ve watched everything with him I can get my hands on. Real Steel was one of the best movies I’ve seen in awhile. And a sexier man to play Charlie Kenton does not exist. Hugh is the perfect cliché of tall, dark and handsome, but more importantly, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. If I ever had an opportunity to write a celebrity’s biography, I would love to write Hugh’s.

I have to confess that I am probably one of the absolute worst bloggers ever. Is it because I don’t have anything to say? No. I am a writer after all. My problem with blogging is finding the time to do it and remembering what it is I wanted to blog about three days ago when I thought of that perfect blog topic but failed to write it down.

I tend to have too many things going on all at once—as probably do most of us—and never seem to have time for the extra fun stuff, like blogging.

On that note, I thought to myself, what would be a fun topic to not only blog about but to research. Hmmm. I know. Sex. Since I spend a lot of my time writing about it, why not find some of the hottest scenes from movies and TV so that I can enjoy some visual pleasure and justify scanning through a gazillion sex scenes on YouTube since it is for research, of course.

To make a long story short—shorter : ) –I sacrificed several hours *clears throat* of my time to note some of the most memorable and powerful sex/love scenes in movies and TV.

I’m not claiming that these are “the” hottest of hot scenes, but these are some of my favorites that made my heart pitter patter and caught me up in the moment. Now to be quite honest, I tend to enjoy the more intense scenes where emotions are running hot, wild and crazy.

For an added bonus, my amazing and telented friend and fellow author, Tatiana Caldwell is doing a dual post of Top 10 Favorite Romantic Scenes. Follow this link, Tatiana Caldwell’s Romantic Scenes to view some more awesome movie/TV love scenes.

Enjoy and CAUTION: These are for adult viewing only. If you are easily offended by hot sex, turn back now.

Note: All of the links to these scenes were up and working fine as of this post, but as we all know, YouTube is notorious for jerking things off their site within a second after viewing something. I hope they are all still up and running for you all.

10.	Meet Jo Black
Brad Pitt & Claire Forlani

	This scene is what I’d call more sweet than intense hence its spot at number ten, but it made it’s way on my list because I was simply caught up in the extraordinary job Brad Pitt did of “convincing” me that this was actually his character’s first time. It is spot on to how I imagine a man’s reaction might be the first time.

Meet Jo Black

9.	Halifax: Afraid of the Dark Australian Series
Hugh Jackman & Rebecca Gibney

	First of all, if you don’t want to watch the whole scene and only want to see the good stuff, forward on to about 2:30 mark. I have to confess, I had never seen or heard of this series before seeing this clip, but my goodness did it fire my blood. Not only because I think every “older” woman—and I say older loosely because it is very obvious to me that Rebecca is at best only a few years older than Hugh, not even close to being old enough to be his mother—only ever fantasizes about getting a man that looks like Hugh Jackman into their bed (yes, I think the man is hot—if you don’t, get glasses), but I loved the way Hugh allowed his character to be “handled” so well by the older, more experienced Rebecca’s character and obviously enjoyed every minute of it.

Halifax: Afraid Of The Dark

8.	The Man Who Cried
Johnny Depp & Christina Ricci

	Again, this is not one of the most out there sex scenes on my list, but for some reason—hmm, could that reason be Johnny?—it really drew me in. I think it was a combination of a few things. One, the way Johnny’s character parades himself in front of Christina’s character showing her exactly what she’s going to get; two, the way you can tell exactly what he’s after from the very beginning, and that he’s going to get it no matter what; three, even though he seems to realize she is fairly innocent to the game of sex, he knows she still wants it; and four, the way he calls her bluff and refuses to allow her to have time to chicken out. Oh, did I mention that it was hot too that he got what he was after and seemed to thoroughly enjoy getting it? Loved the expression on his face and the emotion involved with both characters. (There’s a little bonus scene at the end if you’re up for it).

7.	Atonement
James McAvoy & Keira Knightley

	All I can say is wow. This scene captured me, and made me feel as if I were there in the room and could actually feel the chemistry of these two. The “I know we shouldn’t be doing this, but I can’t help myself from doing it” factor sucked me right in. To me, love should always be powerful enough to bring you to your knees : ), no pun intended. Keira and James were astonishing together.

6.	Brokeback Mountain
Heath Ledger & Jake Gyllenhaal

	This scene was one of the best, no probably the best, male love scene I’ve seen. I’m sure there are plenty others, have seen plenty others, but none have ever invoked the intensity like these two for me. It’s another one of those, “I shouldn’t be doing this, but I can’t deny it any longer,” moments. I wasn’t for sure if they were going to fight or f*ck, but when I realized they were actually going to do a bit of both—well more one than the other—I was lost to their obvious “forbidden” chemistry. It’s raw, hot, real, so male and sooo sexy. Again if you don’t want to watch the whole scene and just the action, forward on to the 1:15 mark.

5.	Monster’s Ball
Billy Bob Thornton & Halle Barry

	This clip was actually a tip off from a friend. I’ve never seen this movie because quite frankly I’m just not that in to Billy Bob (shoot me if you must, but it’s my prerogative). This is definitely an emotional ride as I’m sure most of us have either had drunk sex or have had a friend who’s filled us in on that one night of abandoned drunken sex. Am I condoning alcoholic induced sex? Sure if it’s with someone you know, would or have had sex with before, and you are a consenting adult. Do I support it where alcohol is used to take advantage of another person? Absolutely not—well unless Hugh Jackman or Johnny Depp would like to get me drunk and take advantage of me—then I’m all for it.

4.	The Tudors
Henry Cavill & Gabrielle Anwar

	Not only did I enjoy this series immensely, but my oh my did it have some hot sex in it without overtaking the story line as a lot of the historical series do. Don’t get me wrong, it had plenty of sex, but it wasn’t what the whole series was about. I had to include this scene because Henry Cavill has got to be one of the hottest male specimens I’ve seen in a long time. He’s quite the playboy on The Tudors, but hell, with a face and body like that I guess I’ll let him slide. He wasn’t completely without morals, but he obviously knew what he was doing, practiced it a lot, and his partners liked it as well. Again, if you don’t want to watch the whole scene and get straight to the action, forward to about 2:2O mark.

3.	Disclosure
Michael Douglas & Demi Moore

	I really don’t think I need to say much about this seen, but that I was not convinced at all by Michael’s character’s try at playing like he didn’t want it. While there isn’t actually intercourse going on in this clip, it’s no less hot. Trust me.

2.	Fatal Attraction
Michael Douglas & Glenn Close

	Yes, Michael made it to spot three and two on the list, but he deserves it. This scene from Fatal Attraction will forever be burned into my mind, has been burned into memory since the first time I saw it. While I really detest cheaters, this depicts that first time one feels that chemistry with another person that could peel wallpaper off the walls with the steam it gives off. Unfortunately, that kind of attraction usually doesn’t amount to love, and more than likely ends up biting one in the ass. But you know its got to be fun while it lasts—well until the bitch tries to kill you and boils your kids bunny. Again, if you don’t want to see the entire scene, and only see the good stuff, forward on to about the 6:00 minute mark.

And, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the crown jewel, number one.

1.	A History of Violence
Viggo Mortensen & Maria Bello

	This is one of the best, hottest scenes I’ve witnessed that shows that intense “I hate you, but I love you,” make up sex. What can I say about make up sex? We should all have it, every day—okay, okay, once a week then. Viggo and Maria do a fantastic job on portraying their characters’ emotions. I was sitting on the edge of my seat during this one, and immediately hit rewind to watch it again when it was over (actually I may have hit rewind more than once). All I can say is this would be worth all the bruises I’m sure she ended up with on her ass.

A History of Violence

I hope you all enjoyed my list, and please feel free to email me your favorite hot scenes or post them in the comment section.

When I was growing up you either loved Poison or hated them. Most of the girls I knew loved them, most of the guys hated them. The boys hated them for one obvious reason to me, the gorgeous Bret Michaels. While this was many years ago, I remember the thrill of listening to and watching Poison songs and videos. Bret always seemed like such a bad boy, and my inner woman just knew it could tame him.

Little did I know, I was not a woman then, but a child with child fantasies. Now as a grown woman, I still have that small urge in me that says, if I could just meet him, I could turn him into a one-woman man (not for me mind you, I am now happily married). Yet, the logical side of me knows I’m still just a fool, plain and simple for a still gorgeous set of piercing blue eyes, and a luscious mane of thick golden locks.

But, let’s get clear of my obvious attraction to Bret, and delve into current events. I was shocked and saddened when I heard of his brain hemorrhage in April. I was forced to see a child hood crush and God knocked down to mere human status. Because after all, Gods do not suffer such trivial things as health problems.

I remember thinking that it didn’t sound good, and that he might actually die. I hoped he wouldn’t, not just because I wanted a cherished childhood icon to live on, but for the sake of his family, his children, his friends. It is tough to lose a loved one, and I got to thinking about all of the lives Bret’s possible passing would affect.

It was such a great moment when I realized that he would pull through, and a greater moment when he was released and announced his plans to continue his touring. But, then another downfall. A warning stroke and a hole in the heart. I know at this moment, it is still believed he will be fine, and have a full recovery.

I just hope Bret realizes how many people’s lives he’s touched with his music, and how much his friends and family count on him and love him. The world will still be waiting for Brett after he takes proper time to recover. Bret, as I have sadly realized, you are not a God, even if for a moment in my mind, and possibly others’ minds, you were. At some point in our lives, we are all smacked in the face with our mortality. Take the time to heal properly, and get healthy.

Your family, friends, and fans all want nothing more than to have you back at 100%. I feel Bret has much more to give in life, many more songs to sing/write, many more paths to travel.

In the meantime, I’ll be rocking out to Poison, waiting patiently for a tour date near my town, and for Bret to Talk Dirty to Me.

1. Their songs sound better cranked up;

2. Yes, is always the answer. It’s never a question. Who else could sing about sex in so many different toe-curling, raspy ways;

3. Chad is big enough to carry me anywhere, anytime without getting tired;

4. What better way to irritate your pain-in-the-#ss neighbor than by turning up Something In Your Mouth as you drive by (don’t forget to smile and wave);

5. Who else could make the phrase “all in, balls out” sound appealing;

6. They actually make stalking sound sexy (Follow You Home — and by the way, if he sang this to me, he could follow me home anytime); and

7. They have a song for every mood you could possibly be in: Far Away (sweet/true love); Woke Up This Morning (scorned); Rockstar (fantasy); Animal (horny); Shakin’ Hands (slutty); If Today Was Your Last Day (depressed); Never Again (dumped or neglected); and, well you get the gist of it.

I will never deny that I am a Robert Pattinson fan. But, I was very curious to see him in another substantial role other than Edward Cullen. I wasn’t for sure what to expect with Remember Me as I had read mixed reviews on it. Half seemed to love the movie and half seemed to hate it.

My niece went with me and we were both very surprised at how good the movie was. I don’t think either of us was expecting it to be a flop, but I’m also sure neither of us expected such an in depth movie.

Robert Pattinson did justice to the character of Tyler Hawkins, a troubled, young man. His acting was quite impressive, and he did an applauding job of playing the brooding rich kid who’d faced more than his fair share of hardships, fighting to find the meaning of life, and trying to deal with his pent up anger over his brother’s suicide.

I had never heard of Emilie de Ravin, the actress who played Ally Craig, Tyler’s love interest until this flick. I was also quite taken with her talent, and was touched by the emotions each brought to the screen on their own and blown away by the emotion and chemistry they shared together.

I also applaud Pierce Brosnan’s role as Tyler’s father, Charles Hawkins. He showed a depth to a man presumed to care more for his career than his family that most probably do not consider. His portrayal of a character that seemingly neglected his family because he loved his work more, was brought into a different light. He shows how a man can lose track of what is important by believing he is doing the right thing until it is too late.

I will not do a spoiler to the movie and spill about the ending, but I will say that if you are one of those who “pay attention” to details, as I do as a writer, you will, within about the first ten minutes or so of the movie have a distinct idea of what is going to happen at the conclusion of the film.

All in all, Remember Me is a wonderful, true-life story of struggles and hardships among all types of people in life, whether young, old, rich or poor. A truly empowering movie with a strong message to all of those who are willing to open their minds and listen.

As I played with my adorable, furry kids today, I began thinking about how thankful I am that I chose dogs instead of cats. I am an all around animal lover, but cats just don’t do it for me. I’m not knocking cat owners, just simply saying they are not for me personally.

1. Dogs are always happy to see you whether you’ve been gone 2 minutes or 2 days. They don’t hide when you come home, making you wonder if they have escaped somehow because they are too snobbish to bother getting up from wherever they may be sleeping at the time to greet you properly;

2. Dogs do not sharpen their claws on your nice leather furniture;

3. Dogs do not bring you small, furry presents in the middle of the night in the form of half-dead (if you are unlucky) or dead (if you are lucky) mice, and leave them on your pillow as proud trophies;

4. Dogs do not ignore you when you speak to them simply because they are in one of their I’m going to do what I want, when I want-screw you moods;

5. Male dogs do not caterwaul in the wee hours of the morning keeping you and your neighbors up for days at a time because some particularly cute female happens to wander along; (by the way–get your pets spayed or neutered)

6. Dogs do not use your kitchen counters and table to perch on and lick their privates right before you unwittingly prepare and eat your dinner;

7. Dogs do not crap in a box of litter, drag said litter a foot across the floor after exiting poop box, nor do you have to sift their precious leavings out of the litter.

All in all, I will take a dog over a cat any day.

I have been married to my husband for over eleven years now and we have been together for almost sixteen. I found myself tonight, once again, staring at him as he blissfully lay beside me snoring.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pictured myself literally choking him to death or placing a pillow gently but firmly over his face while I sat on it just to make the hideous bear sounds coming from his mouth stop.

I have turned the show on television I’m watching up to absurd volumes just to hear over the muffler leak beside me, stared at him until the wee hours of the morning wondering if I’ll ever sleep again, and cramming my MP3 player ear buds into my ears so far I thought my ears would bleed.

And, yes, while I can say that I am utterly annoyed and at times so tired I could cry, it all comes down to one thing.

There is nothing on the face of this earth that could be as horrible to me if I no longer heard my husband snoring beside me. I would never be willing to trade silence for my husband. So each time I think about wrapping my fingers around his throat, I find myself wondering how many more nights will I be blessed with him?

How many more breaths will I hear vibrate from his throat before there is complete silence? Once I focus on that thought, I find that the noise is really not so bad, but endearing in a way that I am so very thankful to have someone who loves me and who I love lying beside me each night.
